Fellows of the Society

Fellowship of the Society is awarded for outstanding services to the Society usually at National level. 

Fellows face a fairly rigorous process before being accepted as a member of this illustrious group.

• Nominations are sent to the Society Secretary with a detailed CV of the services rendered to the society and the hobby.
• The secretary presents the nominations to the Board of Trustees, who validate the CV and decide whether the nominee's contribution is outstanding enough to pass to the next stage.
• A panel of 10 current Fellows then further assesses the nomination, who will decide whether the nomination should go forward to a General Meeting.
• At the General Meeting, members then complete the process by voting on whether to accept the nomination or not.

The award consists of a certificate and gold badge engraved on the reverse with the recipient's name.  The number of Fellows of the Society is deliberately kept small usually between twenty and thirty.
